Privacy Policy — Gran Marketer

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This policy explains what information Gran Marketer ("we," "us") collects, why, and how it's used and protected. Gran Marketer is operated by Gran Marketer Ltd.

What we collect

Account information When you create an account, we collect your email address and any other details you provide during sign-up.

Website analysis data When you submit a website for analysis, we crawl its publicly available pages (up to 50 pages) to generate an SEO report. This includes page content, metadata, structure, and similar publicly visible information. We do not access any part of a website that isn't publicly reachable.

Google Analytics & Search Console data (optional) If you choose to connect your own Google Analytics and/or Search Console account, we request read-only access to:

  • View your Analytics data (traffic, sessions, top pages)
  • View your Search Console data (search queries, clicks, impressions, indexing status)

We also request basic profile information (your name and email address associated with the connected Google account) to identify which account is connected. We do not request or receive the ability to edit, delete, or manage your Google Analytics or Search Console settings — access is read-only.

Page Speed data We use Google's PageSpeed Insights API to measure page performance. This uses the public URL of the page being analysed and does not involve your personal Google account.

How we use this information

  • To generate SEO audit reports and recommendations for websites you submit.
  • To display your connected Analytics and Search Console data alongside our own analysis, on your dashboard.
  • To track changes in a website's SEO performance over time (history/trend features).
  • To operate and improve the Gran Marketer service, including a future paid membership.

Some suggestions in our reports are generated using AI and are clearly labelled as interpretation or suggestions, not measured fact.

How we store and protect data

  • Access tokens for connected Google accounts are stored securely on our servers and are never exposed to your browser or shared with other users.
  • Access to Google Analytics and Search Console data is scoped per user and per website — one user's connected data is not visible to another user.
  • We apply least-privilege principles: we only request the minimum access needed to provide the features described above.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Google, to the extent necessary to retrieve the Analytics, Search Console, and PageSpeed data you've authorised.
  • Service providers who host and operate our infrastructure, under obligations to protect your data.

Data retention

We retain your account and analysis data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see below).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for connected Google accounts at any time (you can disconnect a Google account from within Gran Marketer, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions).

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@granmarketer.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "last updated" date above.
